When we look in the bible, right back to the early days .. the church took care of those who needed help, the church grew.
We are called even today to speak up and care for the poor and needy. They need an advocate - the church can give them a voice.
Mother Teresa. She heard the call of God on her life and started Mission of Charity in India. She placed value on humanity. Followed the path of Jesus.
People are a priority to God.
Look around us and look where we can serve our community and value people.

ACTS - Our Message
The Question for us is ... What type of community are we building here at Marion Church of Christ?
Acts 1:1-4 ... I wrote about all Jesus began to do and to teach.
What will Marion Church of Christ look like as followers of Jesus? To live a life that looks like His life.
It begins when we start a relationship with Jesus. It remained central to the people in Acts.
Are we going to be obedient to God or be swayed by what others think or say. Acts 4:1-4
We have God's Holy Spirit (catchup on Pastor Stephen's sermon from 29 May) but we still need to pray - we still need a Gods help to bolden us and to strengthen us.
There’s power in prayer. God can overcome fear about sharing the hope of Jesus.
Be willing to take a risk and take a small step - invite someone to the upcoming Alpha series here at Marion Church of Christ starting Sun 2 July at 6pm services.
People need Hope in their lives. Pray about how we can invite someone to Alpha to join a conversation about our faith and God.
