Pastor Sonya brought us the Word on Sunday continuing on from Lawrie McArthur

Transformed, Renewed and New life in Christ.

  • The exchange of our old life

Live the way God wants us to live. To flourish.

Daily surrender to God’s will - it does take work, daily, to be more like Him by praying, worship, reading the Bible, seeking Him in all we do.

Matthew 5:6

  • The exchange of His name

We are daughters and sons of a living God.

We are called to show and live Christs love, grace and truth

We are human we are flawed.

We make mistakes but Grace is enough

John 1:12

  • The exchange of the spirit

God in us - His Holy Spirit - Empowering us to live a Christian life

2 Corinthians 5:17

28 April, 2024 Stephen Scott

New Sermon Series : Greenhouse Christianity

Did you miss Pastor Stephen's Scott's sermon on Sunday.

Matthew 7:24-27

Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

How are you doing in your walk with Jesus?

Maybe we should ask this more often.

Pastor Stephen explores this new sermon series - so connect in and listen to what he has to share.

Sunday 7 April Service

7 April, 2024 Lawrie McArthur

Missed out on the services from Sunday?

We missed you, but you can catch up here on the Marion Church of Christ You tube link.

Laurie McArthur spoke The Word on the Transforming Power of Jesus

2 Cor 12:9 - But he (the Lord) said to me (the apostle Paul), “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.

God’s mercy and grace ….. for my weak, imperfect, fragile, faulty nature…and God’s Power

Hebrews 12:1-2 “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Jesus, the basis of my faith, the example of how to persevere, to keep going in the face of difficulties

Romans 12:1-2 “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

Following this Easter, my personal special new realisation is in four words.

Be transformed…… Be Renewed.

Celebrating Easter – following Jesus – I am transformed, I am renewed, I am refreshed
